Talk show host, actor and activist Nick Herd, who lives with Down syndrome, led the UN News blog team for coverage of the opening day of the 17th session of the Conference of States Parties (COSP17) to the game-changing Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, taking place from 11 to 13 June 2024.

The sixth session of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-6) was held from 26 February to 1 March 2024 at the UNEP headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya. This pivotal event, featuring Brazil and Portugal as vice-presidents, gathered global leaders to discuss and decide on critical environmental policies and initiatives.
